Responsibilities:
? Lead develop small large (e.g. antibody, RNA, and/gene therapy) molecule drug discovery programs from target discovery to hit identification to candidate validation IND in the CNS area
? Interact with leadership to shape strategic direction fnew novel targets modality
? Lead a small group of Ph.D level neuroscientist, pharmacologists to execute research program
? Working internally with other function leaders with CROs fexperimental design, implementation execution of in vitro biological assays (biophysical, biochemical cell-based) in vivo testing in support of drug discovery projects
? Responsible fdata review, analysis interpretation of in vitro in vivo results, troubleshooting issues related to drug discovery projects
Qualifications:
? Ph.D. in biochemistry, cell biology, computational biology, related field with 10+ years relevant pharmaceutical biotech experience
?Experience in leading multiple drug discovery programs in the CNS area.
? Experience in identifying high-value therapeutic targets in CNS, based on the evaluation of biological rationale, tractability, competitive landscape
? Experience with human ipsc-derived models fin vitro assessment
? Extensive knowledge in vitro biochemical/biophysical cell-based assays translational disease models in the CNS area
? Ability to lead a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary, multi-site team setting.
? Excellent verbal written communication skills.
